Serendipity Wellness
A wellness center for women. Offering occupational therapy and skin care services.

About
Hello, and welcome to Serendipity. My name is Sara, and I am an occupational therapist and esthetician. I work part-time as an OT but wanted to create this practice and dedicate it to self care. As an occupational therapist we treat the whole person, so what better way to address health and wellness, than to treat the body both inside and out. I have been an OT practitioner for over ten years, completing my masters in OT in 2017. Since then I have practiced in many areas. I specialize in lymphedema and cancer rehabilitation. I am certified in lymphedema through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, and have taken several continuing education classes on treating breast and head and neck cancer patients. I have been an esthetician for over 25 years, using exclusively Epicuren products. I absolutely love giving facials and allowing the client to truly relax and be in the moment. All services are cash based, I do not accept insurance.
Complete Decongestive Therapy
The gold standard for treating lymphedema. Complete decongestive therapy consists of four parts: exercise, skin care, manual lymphatic drainage, and multi-layered compression wraps. I can also measure for off the shelf or custom garments and work with several vendors that accept insurance for garments. Complete decongestive therapy is a commitment, and requires several treatments weekly to decongest before ordering compression garments. Packages are available if you require several treatments over a short period of time. Please contact me for package pricing. Lipedema clients may benefit from complete decongestive therapy or parts of CDT to manage symptoms.

Benefits may include: decreased pain, decreased edema after surgery or cosmetic procedures, helps with allergies, congestion, and headache symptoms, improves circulation, rids body of toxins, and may decrease edema during pregnancy. Lymphedema and lipedema clients may find maintenance manual lymphatic drainage beneficial to maintaining results achieved with CDT.
